MORE TURMOIL AT THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER

As of July 10, 2007 Bill Proenza has been replaced as NHC Director by Deputy Director Bill Rappaport who has been with the center for 20 years and acted as Deputy Director for the last 7.  It has not been decided by powers that be whether  this will be a permanent change. While government decides what's best for the NHC hurricane threatened homeowners have a resource right here with HURRICANE FINDER if forecasts deteriorate. Self reliance is a good thing when the many faceted heads of beast-politics begins to self-destruct.  Picture a serpent with hundreds of hoary heads writhing frantically in diverse direction to picture government as it seeks to serve itself. This immortal beast cannot be killed and only grows another head when one is lopped off. What's a born-again passive-aggressive to do?

There has been some concern from various sectors as the hurricane season heats up and you can be assured  we'll keep you apprised of future developments right here at hurricane central.  Stay tuned.
