WORLD-WIDE TROPICAL CYCLONE FORECASTS
INDIAN OCEAN JUNE 10, 2008
Hurricanes, tropical cyclones, typhoons or just cyclones, all the same storm with different names suited to the part of the world they occur in. This is today's satellite view of the Indian Ocean where last month tropical cyclone NARGIS changed the way many feel about Myanmar, a country I grew up thinking was Burma.
If you're a faithful reader of John's Musings you may have seen the blog discussing who visits this site titled AUDIENCE. You can look at it now if you like, I'll wait for you.............................................................

Ok. How did you like those flag pics? You see that folks from all over the world are familiar with this site and come to it for useful information. The NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER/TROPICAL PREDICTION CENTER (NHC) is the weather source for many of us in the Western/Northern Hemisphere but you may not know of other sites throughout the world dispensing weather products.
I downloaded the satellite pic above from the following link which I discovered through the NHC. If you happen to be in that part of the world or merely interested there is much useful weather-wise information to be found there.
And if you just become tropical cyclone aware due to NARGIS or some other prod and are living in the Eastern or Southern Hemispheres here's a site that will give you much useful information which can be used with the HURRICANE SURVIVAL GUIDE found elsewhere on these pages.
